JEAN LEGROS

Born in 1917 in Paris, died in 1981 in Malakoff.

Jean Legros's work has always been imbued with a kind of luminous force that, even today, astonishes, guides the eye, and permeates each painting. This metaphor of light, however worn it may be, seems to be the only one capable of conveying the intense radiance of the colors that invariably define each of his paintings.
