Red is the color

Charles Bézie, Jean François Dubreuil, Jean-Gabriel Coignet, Renaud Jacquier Stajnowicz, Antoine Perrot, Yves Popet, Moon-Pil Shim

From September 11 to October 6, 2018

The new season will be red, or it won't be at all. Red, a primary color dating back to the dawn of humanity, symbolizes power, wealth, but also warmth and revolution. It is also the color most easily perceived by the human eye. To extend summer, we offer a selection of works by gallery artists centered around the color red. Light, dark, pure, in large or small areas, it contrasts, punctuates, structures, balances, energizes, sometimes electrifies, and captivates with its mere presence. You will discover or rediscover "red works" by Charles Bézie, Jean François Dubreuil, Jean-Gabriel Coignet, Renaud Jacquier Stajnowicz, Antoine Perrot, Yves Popet, and Moon-Pil Shim, who have admirably captured the full force of this color.

The gallery will be exceptionally open on Sunday, September 23rd, from 2 pm to 6 pm
as part of the 'A Sunday at the Gallery' event. For more information, click here.
