From November 17 to 21, 2021

It's such a pleasure to finally see you again at Art Cologne! We wouldn't miss this opportunity to meet you for the world. You have proven your loyalty over all these years, and we thank you most sincerely.

To complement our current exhibition at the gallery, we will be presenting a large work by Jean Dewasne (1921-1999), 'Lyrical Incantation', 121 x 180 cm, from 1969, at our booth this year. He was the artist with whom Anne and Jean-Claude Lahumière worked from the very beginning, when they founded Editions Lahumière. They facilitated the integration of a monumental work into the Hauptbahnhof metro station in Hanover, Germany, where the fresco, in perfect condition, can still be seen today.

A large work by Vasarely (1906-1997), 'Gestalt-ville' (153 x 200 cm) from 1953, will complete this exhibition. This painting is among the finest kinetic works in museum collections from the early 1950s. While the gallery's substantial holdings are primarily based on more structured works predating his kinetic period, we do have a few major pieces of this type.

In another part of the stand, we will be showcasing the exhibition "Transcending, Reconstructing Reality" featuring Félix del Marle (1889-1952), Georges Folmer (1895-1977), and Jean Gorin (1899-1981). This exhibition presented these three artists, each in a quest for construction, who were at the origin of groups that left their mark on their era, such as "Espace," "Abstraction-Création," and "Mesure."
The exhibition was very well received despite our forced closure, and we wanted to share a glimpse of it with you in person.

Of course, we remain committed to our contemporary artists, and we will be offering a selection of works from the group exhibition 'Crossed Geometries II' which recently closed at the gallery, including works by Sigurd Rompza and Moon-Pil Shim. Nicholas Bodde and Siegfried Kreitner will be presenting some of their latest creations.

Looking forward to seeing you again, we send you our warmest regards.

Diane Lahumière and the entire gallery team
