From April 26 to 29, 2017
This year's stand at Art Cologne will be structured around several themes: our award-winning artists on the one hand, and our exhibitions from autumn 2016 to the present one on the other.
We are very proud to present several works by Hans Jörg Glattfelder, winner of the Peter C. Ruppert Prize, which recognizes the work of a contemporary European artist working within the Concrete Art movement. The prize was presented to the artist by the collectors Rosemarie and Peter C. Ruppert at a ceremony at the Würzburg Museum. The Würzburg Museum is proud to present a comprehensive European collection of Concrete Art from 1945 to the present day, thanks to the Ruppert Collection. The museum will also be opening a Victor Vasarely exhibition with the gallery's support on April 22nd.
We are also delighted to present several works by Jean-François Dubreuil, winner of the Aurélie Nemours Prize, which recognizes the tenacity of an artist's ideas, and thus a career dedicated to a mind that has done everything possible to represent and defend its principles. For years, Jean-François Dubreuil has continued to create his works with a consistent approach, while still managing to reinvent himself. The quantitative analysis of the information sources he processes reveals highly structured compositions, much to our delight.
Our 2016 fall exhibition, "Express, Vibrate, Build," presented at the gallery, was a great success, particularly with works by Günter Fruhtrunk, one or two of whose canvases we will be exhibiting alongside a selection of works on paper by Auguste Herbin. We will also be showing a reminder of the January duo exhibition by sculptor Jean-Gabriel Coignet and painter Antoine Perrot, which was well-received by a young and dynamic audience. In it, Antoine Perrot explores the medium of painting, while Jean-Gabriel Coignet inhabits space and time with his sculptures. We will also be presenting some works by Ode Bertrand, whose solo exhibition is currently on display at the gallery.
The stand will be complemented by a selection of works from our contemporary artists, such as Nicholas Bodde or Sigurd Rompza and a spectacular work by Renaud Jacquier-Stajnowicz among others.
